London Bridge is falling down

Waiting to meet someone at London Bridge station on Monday evening, I found myself next to the help desk. Most of the people who asked for help asked the same question – “Where do I buy a ticket?” 

At London Bridge railway station it’s easy to see where to buy a pasty, a doughnut, a burger, a birthday card, a magazine, a pen, or some smellies. Not very easy at all to see where to buy a ticket to travel on a train, which is after all the central function of a railway station. Or was. 

A little snapshot of where we’ve gone wrong, I thought. That’s all.
