You can learn a lot over a pre-match pint

Sitting in the Irish Centre for the pre-match pint last night, the conversation turned to tales of old European campaigns and how we’d all travelled. One fella told the tale of how he and four mates went to a match in Kaiserslautern in the early 1990s from Enfield – BY MINICAB!

“It cost £500 quid,” he said, “£100 pound each and the driver brought us a crate of Stella on the ferry.” 

I love this stuff.
